Brent has practiced at Bennett, Boehning & Clary since his admission to the Indiana Bar in 1974.  Personal injury litigation, one of Brent’s main interests, has been central to his practice since his earliest days. His experience includes trials for victims of automobile crashes of all types, people injured in road-side incidents, persons injured upon business premises, and people injured many other ways. More


 Roger Wm. Bennett

A Lafayette native and son of founder William K. Bennett, Roger concentrates in the areas of elder law, estate planning and probate.  He is an honors graduate of the Indiana University School of Law and has practiced in the firm since his admission to the bar in 1981.  Roger currently serves on the Chairman of the Board of the National Legal Center for the Medically Dependent and Disabled, Inc.  More


 James A. Gothard

A native Hoosier, Jim was admitted to practice in 1969, and practiced as a sole proprietor until joining the firm in 1994.  He concentrates in the areas of family law, criminal law, estate planning, and bankruptcy, where he represents creditors.  Jim is a registered mediator and has been a Lecturer at Purdue University for over 20 years.  More


 Andrew S. Gutwein

A current Tippecanoe County Council member, Andy concentrates in contract law, real estate law, and estate planning.  He is a 1992 graduate of Purdue University, earning a B.S. in the Economics Honors Program.  While attending The National Law Center at The George Washington University, Andy worked on the staff of U.S. Congressman Steve Buyer. He joined the firm in 1995, the same year he was admitted to practice.  More


 Stuart P. Boehning

Stuart, who has practiced since 1995, is a former member of the Lafayette City Council. He currently focuses his efforts in the areas of corporate and business law, commercial collections, estate planning and administration and real estate. Stuart has been active in numerous community organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Tippecanoe County Historical Association Foundation Board. More


 Kyle B. Mandeville

A former Glenn D. Peters Fellow at the Indiana University School of Law, Kyle focuses his efforts on business, immigration, estate planning, real estate, and asset protection.  Kyle stays abreast to the latest immigration law changes as part of his membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  More


 Stuart R. Gutwein

Stuart graduated magna cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law in 2003.  While in law school, Stuart was awarded the State and Local Tax Award and the Indiana State Bar Association Tax Award.  Stuart focuses his efforts on business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, real estate development, transfer and finance, construction financing and general corporate counseling.  More


 Jason W. Bennett

Grandson of founder William K. Bennett and son of current partner Roger Wm. Bennett, Jason is a cum laude graduate of Wabash College.  Jason focuses his efforts on appellate advocacy.  He is admitted to practice in front of the United States Supreme Court, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Indiana and the Northern and Southern District Courts of Indiana.  More


 Cara C. Putman

Cara is an honors graduate of George Mason University School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Civil Rights Law Journal.  Cara is a former vice-president of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wabash Valley, Inc.  A former clerk at the Court of Federal Claims, Cara devotes much of her time to family law cases.  More


 Jason W. Cottrell

Jason W. Cottrell joins the law firm as an associate after working in the business and litigation section of May Oberfell Lorber, located in Mishawaka, Indiana. He graduated from the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University in 2000 and attended Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington, graduating in 2004. Mr. Cottrell concentrates his practice on Commercial and Corporate Litigation, Business Transactions, Contract Dispute Resolution, Construction Law, Landlord-Tenant Issues, Bankruptcy Creditor’s Rights, Family Law, and Criminal Defense.   More
