The Braun Corporation is the leader of the mobility industry.  Braun manufactures wheelchair accessible vans and wheelchair lifts.  Forty years ago Ralph Braun, the founder and current CEO of Braun, created the first wheelchair accessible vehicle.  Braun now converts Dodge, Chrysler, Toyota and Honda vans into wheelchair accessible vehicles.  BraunAbility products can be purchased from Braun’s nationwide dealer network of over 200 locations.

Ralph Braun’s story is a powerful example of true entrepreneurial spirit and discovering the unlimited potential within all of us. When he was just six years old, doctors diagnosed Ralph Braun with muscular dystrophy and told his parents he wouldn’t live to be a teenager. Those doctors were wrong. He lived past his teens and today is the CEO of The Braun Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of mobility products.

Ralph was determined to have an education, a career and a family just like anyone else; he just had to work a little harder at it. He invented the first motorized scooter, called the Tri-Wheeler, and later designed the first mobility vehicle when he outfitted an old postal Jeep with hand controls and a hydraulic lift.

As his mobility increased, so did attention from the disabled community. Ralph quickly realized an underserved and underappreciated market existed, and he developed a wide range of mobility products to meet its needs.
